The five teams are Alpine/Big Bend, Bay Area, Dallas, Texarkana and Alexandria, which was a ULB team in 2008 but is unaffected by the league’s bankruptcy proceedings. CBL officials had hoped to field teams in Edinburg, Harlingen and San Antonio for 2009 and had reached a tentative agreement with ULB to do so, but a decision from the bakruptcy court instead awarded the ULB franchises to Reunion Sports.
