In the second-to-last Ballpark Digest Award for the 2011 season, we honor the Cape Cod League for a poignant remembrance of a victim of the 2011 Tucson shootings -- a young girl who happened to be a big baseball fan.

August Publications was formed in 2003 with the launch of Ballpark Digest. Since that time the company has grown from a single employee working out of a home to a diversified publishing firm featuring Websites, books and other merchandise. Our motto is simple: We enjoy doing cool things and are overjoyed we can make a living doing so.

In the second-to-last Ballpark Digest Award for the 2011 season, we honor the Cape Cod League for a poignant remembrance of a victim of the 2011 Tucson shootings -- a young girl who happened to be a big baseball fan.

In the final round of the yearly Ballpark Digest Awards, we honor our 2011 Ballpark of the Year: Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, the spring home of the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies.

We're back with our second round of Ballpark Digest awards for 2011. Today, we have another renovation award: Best Renovation ($20M+) for Cheney Stadium, home of the Tacoma Rainiers (Class AAA; Pacific Coast League).

He calls a mean game, recites a post-game haiku and manages his team’s broadcast and video deals. For his work behind the mic and behind the scenes, Jay Burnham, the Voice of the Trenton Thunder, is the 2011 Broadcaster of the Year in the annual awards from Ballpark Digest.
When a team sets a national record for most consecutive sellouts, year-end recognitions are to be expected. So it's no surprise that the winner of the 2011 Organization of the Year from Ballpark Digest is the Dayton Dragons (Low Class A; Midwest League), the most successful team in Minor League Baseball.
