The Kannapolis Intimidators (Low A; Sally League) have made a major personnel decision, naming Brian Radle their new team president. Radle joins the Intimidators after working for Main Street Baseball’s Wilmington Blue Rocks (High A; Carolina League) and Lowell Spinners (Short Season A; NY-Penn League) since the fall of 2012.
“Brian is one of the most respected leaders in the sports entertainment industry,” said Reese Smith, managing partner of the Intimidators. “We are thrilled that Brian is choosing Kannapolis and are expecting great things under his leadership as we prepare to transition into a new stadium.”
Radle, who will oversee all facets of the club’s operations, spent the 2017 season with the Lowell Spinners, Short-Season affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, where he served as the Assistant General Manager. With the Spinners, he oversaw ticket sales, marketing, community relations, media relations, merchandise, and promotions. Prior to joining the Spinners, he worked as the Wilmington Blue Rocks’ Director of Advertising Sales, leading the Single-A club in a variety of areas in each of his four seasons in Wilmington, Del. Radle helped secure the naming rights partnership for the 2014 California/Carolina League All-Star Game and festivities with Bank of America, which the Blue Rocks hosted. He also increased the team’s overall advertising revenue each of his four years with the club.
A graduate of La Salle University in 2004, Radle began working for the independent Camden Riversharks as the Corporate Partnerships Manager under Opening Day Partners for the 2007 and 2008 seasons. He spent six seasons with Opening Day Partners, working for the Riversharks, the Lancaster Barnstormers, and the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs where he served as Assistant GM before leaving to join the Blue Rocks. Originally from Pennsylvania, Radle is married to Jeanine and has two sons, Kellan and Cam.
