River City Rascals Promote Lisa Ferreira to GM

River City Rascals

The River City Rascals (independent; Frontier League) have made a major personnel decision, promoting Assistant General Manager Lisa Ferreira to General Manager.

Ferreira has served as Assistant GM since November of 2013 and recently completed her fourth season with the team. In her role as Assistant GM, Ferreira was responsible for oversight of the corporate, promotions, community relations, and ticket sales departments, as well as many of the day-to-day and in-game operations of the organization. During the 2017 season, she also led the efforts to organize the STL Legends Game, which was a resounding success.

“In her four seasons as Assistant GM of our team, Lisa has made herself and invaluable member of our Rascals organization and family,” said Rascals President Dan Dial. “Her daily leadership with our staff, attention to detail, and overall work ethic has made this promotion an easy decision for myself and our ownership group. We are looking forward to our 20th anniversary season being our best ever and Lisa will be a huge part of that success.”

In her promotion to General Manager, Ferreira will take on a larger role in the day-to-day operations of the organization as well as oversight of game and stadium operations. She will also spearhead the organizational efforts of the 2018 Frontier League All-Star Game being held at CarShield Field in July 2018, as well as the second annual STL Legends Game.

“I am truly thankful for this opportunity and look forward to the challenges that my new role will provide” said Ferreira. “I am blessed to be a part of such a great organization and community here in O’Fallon and couldn’t be more excited for what is in store for the Rascals 20th anniversary season!”

Before joining the Rascals, Ferreira spent the previous eight years as Assistant General Manager of Roger Dean Stadium and General Manager of the Palm Beach Cardinals in Jupiter, FL.
