We have personnel news to pass along from the Frederick Keys (High A; Carolina League) and the Lexington Legends (Low A; Sally League).
In Frederick, the Keys have elevated Matt Miller and Bridget McCabe to assistant general manager for sales and marketing, respectively assume. The team also announced several other appointments.
Andrew Klein joins the Keys as Director of Sponsorship and will be assisted by new Sponsorship Account Manager Andrew Sagarin. Ellery Price comes aboard as a new Group Sales Account Manager while Shawn Patrick Jordan has been promoted to Account Manager from Box Office Assistant.
A member of the Keys staff since 2010, Miller has climbed the ranks after starting as a Group Sales Intern. Previously the club’s Director of Group Sales, the Edinburg, VA native was responsible for overseeing all ticket plan and groups sales. Miller graduated from Lynchburg College in 2009 with a degree in Sport Management and is a passionate fan of the Orioles, Redskins and Virginia Cavaliers.
McCabe recently completed her sixth season with the Keys and her third as Director of Marketing. After graduating from Western New England College, she began her Keys tenure as the team’s Marketing Assistant in 2011. Originally from Dutchess County, New York, McCabe spends the offseason working for Baseball Miracles, a mission group which teaches less fortunate youth about baseball across the globe.
Klein moves to Frederick following three years in Allentown, PA with the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, the Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. There, he worked as a Manager for Memberships. No stranger to Minor League Baseball, Klein started his career in 2011 as a Stadium Operations Intern with the Arkansas Travelers. He has also worked as an Account Executive for the Tri-City Dust Devils. The Boca Raton, FL native graduated from Florida State in 2010.
Teaming up with Klein is Sagarin, who moves to Frederick after working as the Operations Manager for the Auburn Doubledays, Short-Season affiliate of the Washington Nationals. In this role he oversaw stadium maintenance, sold sponsorship packages and supervised the team’s gameday staff. A 2014 graduate of Syracuse University, Sagarin has also worked as the Operations Manager for the Mesa Solar Sox (Arizona Fall League) and as Assistant Stadium Manager at Tempe Diablo Stadium, the Los Angeles Angels spring training home.
An Orange Ambassador Intern with the Bowie Baysox this past season, Price makes the short trek to Frederick. With the Orioles Double-A affiliate she created and developed promotions and helped run a variety of the team’s theme nights. She recently graduated from James Madison University and worked for the school’s athletics department. Growing up in Sunnyvale, CA, Price has also worked for the Stanford women’s basketball program.
No stranger to Keys fans, Jordan started with the Keys in 2012 as a ticket taker, before moving to the box office this past season. Originally from Frederick, Jordan graduated from Shepherd University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies. At Shepherd he was the Head Equipment Manager for the nationally-ranked Rams football team.

In Lexington, the Legends have added four staff members for the 2017 season.
–Sarah Bosso, vice president of business development: Bosso will manage all aspects of the community relations, promotions/fan experience and special events departments. She will also work with staff to develop marketing efforts related to merchandise, social media, television/radio and print advertising. Bosso rejoined the Legends in October 2016 after two seasons in the California League with the High Desert Mavericks (High A, Texas Rangers) as assistant general manager. She was with the Legends as director of community relations and special events (2012-2015) and director of business development (2015). A native of Kansas City, Missouri, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in human environmental sciences from the University of Missouri and a Master’s degree in merchandising, apparel and textiles from the University of Kentucky.
–Greg Liebbe, senior corporate sales executive: Liebbe joined the Lexington Legends in October 2016 after five seasons with the Montgomery Biscuits of the Southern League. He is entering his eighth season in minor league baseball. Liebbe was born and raised in Lowell, Indiana and is a graduate of Ball State University. He and his wife Brittney live in Wilmore, Kentucky.
-Leslie Taylor, CPA, accounting and business operations manager: Taylor joined the Legends in October 2016 after 11 years as an accounting manager and senior accountant in the oil and gas industry. A native of London, Kentucky, she is a 1993 graduate of Western Kentucky University and earned her Certified Public Accounting certificate in 1996.
-Jillian Waitkus, executive assistant to the president/CEO: Waitkus provides assistance to Legends President/CEO Andy Shea on a wide variety of issues and projects, and also provides support to the corporate sales staff. After graduating from the University of Kentucky in May of 2016, she joined the Legends full time and moved into her current position in September. As a student, she was an intern in the UK athletics department and served as a marketing staff member for football, men’s soccer, men’s basketball and baseball.
