The Kannapolis Cannon Ballers (Low A; Sally League) have struck a partnership with Kinetic by Windstream that includes naming rights to Kinetic Club, a premium area at the team’s upcoming ballpark. In addition, the agreement includes wireless internet access for fans attending games and other events
The fast and free wireless internet will be available to Sports and Entertainment Venue (SEV) visitors all year-round. The park will be open to residents daily during daylight hours for people to use as a City of Kannapolis park.
“No matter how much fun our fans are having at Cannon Ballers games, they want to be connected to everything going on in the world. Kinetic by Windstream adds a 21st Century amenity to our fan experience. That connection works both ways, and our wireless access provides a conduit and glimpse into the festive atmosphere that our new ballpark provides for those not present through social media,” said team Operating Partner Scotty Brown. “It also helps us ensure top-notch service everywhere from the Kinetic Club to the merchandise store.”
The 6,000-square foot Kinetic Club is a climate-controlled centerpiece of the new ballpark that overlooks the first base line and features picturesque views of the North Carolina Research Campus. It features seating of more than 200 for meals and a full-service bar. In addition to the 70 scheduled Cannon Ballers home games, this premium space is available to rent for events and celebrations of all types.
In addition, Kinetic by Windstream will sponsor the Cannon Ballers Customer Service Kiosk, a hub for all fans to ask questions and seek information.
“Windstream is excited to be the official Internet provider of the Cannon Ballers with our Kinetic suite of products. In addition to reopening our Kannapolis downtown retail store, we have signed on to be a big sponsor of the Cannon Ballers. It just does not get more local than sponsoring the hometown baseball team,” said Stacy Hale, president of operations for Windstream in the Carolinas.
“There is such excitement with the construction of the new stadium in conjunction with the reopening of our Kinetic retail store located a block away. We hope fans will stop by before and after a game to check out what Windstream has to offer in the community.”
As part of the partnership, Kinetic by Windstream will provide a total of 1,000 tickets to area youth for the team’s summer camp days. In a unique twist, Kinetic will sponsor Row K of the Cannon Ballers new home, slated to open on Thursday, April 16th. The team’s partnership with Kinetic by Windstream extends to all data and phone services at the Cannon Ballers office headquarters and team store at 216 West Avenue.
