Quad Cities River Bandits

We have personnel news to report from the Quad Cities River Bandits (Low A; Midwest League) and the Carolina Mudcats (High A; Carolina League). 

The River Bandits have announced the addition of Paul Kleinhans-Schulz as their new Assistant General Manager. Kleinhans-Schulz spent the 2019 baseball season serving in the same role for the Fort Myers Miracle (High A; Florida State League).

A native of Waverly, Iowa, and a graduate of Augustana College in the Quad Cities, Kleinhans-Schulz joined the River Bandits in January, 2014, as an account executive before being promoted to Sales Manager in October.

After his third season with the organization, Kleinhans-Schulz took a position with the New Orleans Baby Cakes (Class AAA; Pacific Coast League) as Director of Group Sales, eventually rising to Assistant General Manager of Sales. He rejoined the Main Street Baseball family in 2018 as Assistant General Manager of the Lowell Spinners (Short Season A; NY-Penn League), then accepted a similar position with the Miracle in 2019.

“Paul was a valuable member of the great team we had in Quad Cities a few years ago and was a big part of our success in Lowell in 2018. We are so glad to have him back in the Quad Cities moving forward,” said River Bandits owner Dave Heller. “Paul is young, dynamic and completely customer-service focused. Our goal as a team is to get better each year and Paul represents a big upgrade for us in this position. We are extremely excited to welcome him back.”

Jacqueline Holm, the River Bandits General Manager during the 2019 season, is no longer with the organization.

The Mudcats have announced the hirings of three new Business Development Associates, as Brandon DiorioThomas Eatman, and Ryder Barrett are all joining the club’s ticket sales department for the upcoming 2020, 30th anniversary, season. Diorio and Eatman both enter their first seasons in the Carolina front office, while Barrett enters his second season after interning with the Mudcats during the 2019 season.

Brandon Diorio – Business Development Associate

Brandon Diorio enters his first season with the Mudcats, but has previous experience in Minor League Baseball having worked for the Lansing Lugnuts (Low A; Midwest League) from February 2018 through August 2019. The Endicott, New York native was initially hired as a part-time Sales Associate with the Lugnuts in February 2018, before transitioning into a full-time role two months later and becoming a Group Sales Representative with Lansing in April of that same year. Diorio is a 2016 graduate of Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York.

Thomas Eatman – Business Development Associate

Thomas Eatman is a native of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina and is entering his first year with the Mudcats after graduating from UNC Wilmington in May of 2019. While at UNCW, Eatman earned a B.A. in Recreation, Sports Leadership, and Tourism Management with a concentration in Sports Leadership. He also most recently worked as a student worker and intern for the UNCW Athletics Ticket Office and as the head manager for the UNCW Men’s Basketball team.

Ryder Barrett – Business Development Associate

Ryder Barrett returns to Carolina after most recently working as an intern in the Mudcats’ ticket department during the 2019 season. A 2018 graduate of UNC Greensboro, Barrett brings previous Minor League Baseball experience with him to the Mudcats as he worked for the Greensboro Grasshoppers (Low A; Sally League) in 2018. Barrett is originally from Ridgefield, Connecticut.
