The Oakland A’s have tabbed a new concessionaire for Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, announcing a multi-year agreement with Aramark.
In recent years, concessions at the Coliseum had been managed by Spectra Food Services and Hospitality, but Aramark is assuming the role of concessionaire beginning with the 2019 season. Under the terms of the deal, Aramark will manage the Oakland Coliseum’s general concessions, club level and suite dining, as well as special event catering.
According to an announcement issued on Thursday, Aramark will work to serve a lineup that reflects current trends and includes Bay Area fare, while incorporating various amenities and technologies. More details on what will be offered at the Coliseum this season should emerge soon, as we are just about in the point of the offseason where MLB teams and their concessionaires begin previewing new offerings at their ballparks.
“Aramark is renown throughout major league sports as providing best-in-class food and beverage experiences at venues across the country,” said Oakland A’s COO Chris Giles. “We are thrilled to partner with them to elevate the fan experience at the Coliseum.”
“We’re extremely proud to have been selected by the Oakland A’s as their food and beverage partner for the Oakland Coliseum,” said Carl Mittleman, President of Aramark’s Sports and Entertainment division. “The A’s are among the most progressive teams in sports – embracing innovation and engaging the community – and we look forward to working with them to reshape the fan experience with new and exciting offerings.”
