Nice milestone for the El Paso Chihuahuas (Class AAA; Pacific Coast League) last night, as the team welcomed its 2-millionth fan to Southwest University Park.
Before last night the Chihuahuas had drawn 1,994,216 guests at the ballpark through 249 regular season home games, excluding the four games played in Tucson, Ariz. in 2014. During the 2017 campaign, 302,056 guests have attended Chihuahuas games, averaging 7,745 per game.
“How incredible it is to be three-and-a-half seasons into this amazing ballpark and welcome our 2 millionth fan?” said Chihuahuas Vice President and General Manager Brad Taylor. “This says volumes about the love and acceptance that El Paso and the surrounding communities have given us.”
The Chihuahuas welcomed their 1 millionth fan – Severo Barreras – on August 1, 2015.
