Instrumental in the founding and early success of the Lexington Legends (Low A; Sally League), Brad Redmon will be enshrined in the South Atlantic League‘s Hall of Fame. Redmon, the sole member of this year’s class, will be inducted as part of the pre-game festivities for the All-Star Game at Whitaker Bank Park on June 21.
Brad Redmon was an early investor and eventually became the majority owner, and COO of the Lexington Legends. He took Central Kentucky’s dream of having a minor league baseball team and made it a reality when he committed the time, money, and passion required to succeed. He put together a hand-picked team and led them through everything from stadium construction to field maintenance to game day fan experiences. Brad has also enjoyed success in an array of other businesses ranging from video stores, pizza delivery restaurants to real estate. Brad’s baseball career includes winning two Kentucky State High School Baseball Championships as a player, playing baseball for the University of Kentucky, and winning two more Kentucky State High School Baseball Championships as a coach.
