As it celebrates its fifth anniversary, Werner Park, home of the Omaha Storm Chasers (Class AAA; Pacific Coast League), is receiving a full slate of new amenities.

The latest additions to the ballpark cover a little bit of everything. The Storm Chasers are introducing several new concession stands, upgraded premium seating space, an autograph bridge, a revamped putting green and more. While Werner Park has served the Storm Chasers well since it opened in 2011, the team sees the latest upgrades as a chance to refine their offerings.

“We are always looking to build upon the atmosphere at Werner Park for our outstanding fans,” said Storm Chasers President and General Manager Martie Cordaro. “Especially as we enter the 5th Anniversary of the Storm Chasers playing at Werner Park, we aim to provide the best fan experience possible.”

Here is a quick rundown of each addition:

Sun Valley Party Patio
Located to the left of the Bud Light Downdraught, this backyard themed area will be available to host company and group outings. The area features space for 75-100 guests and is accented by brick and stone infrastructure, along with furniture and a fire pit. The patio will also serve as the permanent set for the Storm Chasers’ live daily pre-game show, Sun Valley Landscaping SC Live.

Concessions
Enhancements to Werner Park concessions will include the new Sarpy Smokehouse, located on Rosenblatt Way (first base side), providing barbeque items. The 370 Creamery will also provide delicious ice cream and shakes nearby the Sarpy Smokehouse. Eat Your Opponent Dogs will also make a return and have their own dedicated portable food stand on Bob Gibson Boulevard (third base side). Maui Wowi will also be a welcome addition, with a stand providing smoothies and coffee concoctions. A new-to-market concept is Grab ‘N’ Go, which will feature Budweiser and Bud Light beverages and other prepared items in a convenient store-like checkout.

Gary’s Greens Mini-Golf
The mini-golf course introduced for the 2015 season has been revamped with more challenging obstacles, and has also been renamed “Gary’s Greens” as a nod to Storm Chasers Owner Gary Green.

Atlas Autograph Bridge
Located on the east side of the left field ramp, the Atlas Autograph Bridge provides an excellent spot for fans to get an autograph from their favorite players and coaches before and after Storm Chasers contests.

Diamond Club Seats
A section of seats has been replaced in the VIP Club, providing single-game padded seating, access to the VIP Club, wait service, and a premium view. A waiting list of 72-game packages is now open.

Parking Lot Entrance Designations
Werner Park entrances will now be listed in alphabetical order, as opposed to previously being numerical. Entrance 1 is now Entrance A, with entry strictly for those with parking passes, while Entrance 2 is now Entrance B, Entrance 3 is now Entrance C, and Entrance 4 is now Entrance D. The actual parking lot names from F1 through F5, in addition to the free lots that can be accessed from Lincoln Road, are unaffected by these changes.
