Calderwood is Frontier League Broadcaster of the Year

Schaumburg BoomersMore postseason plaudits: Tim Calderwood, the voice of the Schaumburg Boomers, has been named broadcaster of the year in the independent Frontier League.

Ne earned the award for the second time in his career, with the first coming in 2009 during his time with the Traverse City Beach Bums.

“I am humbled to receive this award,” Calderwood said. “The Frontier League is an extended family to me and it is a special honor to represent a great group of broadcasters. The 2013 year has been a whirlwind for me and one that I will never forget. I am proud to be able to represent such an outstanding organization from the ownership to the players and staff. I love the game of baseball and sharing the action on a nightly basis. Having a great broadcast partner in Benjamin Kelly, who shares in this award, helps make it unique and special every day.”
