The River City Rascals (independent; Frontier League) are going solo on their concessions this season, offering a ballpark menu with no item costing more than $5.
It’s a fairly dramatic move for the Rascals, who bought out their contract from Aramark and went in-house with food offerings.
“It gives us more flexibility to run specials and lower prices,” Rascals GM Dan Dial told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. “An outside vendor might have you pay $9 for a beer. If there’s a night we want to do dollar beers or a $2 hot dog, we can do that now.”
