Scrappers record highest attendance since 2008

Mahoning Valley ScrappersAnother good attendance story: the Mahoning Valley Scrappers (short season A; New York-Penn League) recorded the biggest increase in per-game attendance in team history.

The Scrappers had an increase of 317 fans per game over the 2012 season (36 games total), with 4,642 more fans attending Scrappers games at Eastwood Field during the 2013 season (34 games total).

The Scrappers’ per-game attendance during the 2013 season increased to 3,371 fans per game, the second consecutive seasons with an attendance increase. The average attendance is the Scrappers’ highest average since the 2008 season (3,427).
