The Spokane Indians (short season A; Northwest League) and Spokane County have begun renovations to Avista Stadium, the team’s home since 1958, for the 2013 season.
“It’s exciting to see the construction get underway and envision what the stadium will look like next spring,” said Otto Klein, Indians Senior Vice President. “These vital improvements are necessary for Avista Stadium to continue to serve as a community gathering place for the Inland Northwest.”
The current construction includes replacing the main concession building, upgrading the administration building, creating a new team store, updating restrooms, and repaving the entire outer concourse.
The work is being overseen by ALSC Architects and Kilgore Construction.
