That’s what the Madison Mallards (summer collegiate; Northwoods League) are doing this season.
Of course, some teams do; the Washington Nationals, for instance, offer a rather spiffy bike-valet service at Nationals Park. But most teams do not.
Here’s what the Mallards are doing. The Mallards and local retailer Trek Bikes are adding "The Trek Bicycle Store Bike Blind," giving bicyclists special valet bike parking in a secured area by the main entrance. During games, those parked in this section will have the opportunity to have their tires filled and bikes washed by a Trek or Mallards staff member. Also, bicyclists can receive $1 off a bleacher ticket by showing their helmet to a Mallards ticket representative.
This promotion will work well in Madison, one of the most bike-friendly towns in the country. But it should also work well for other urban areas as well, like Portland.
