Whitaker Bank Ballpark will offer some new cuisine for the 2018 season, as the Lexington Legends (Low A; Sally League) have unveiled their food menu.
Dickey’s Barbecue Pit: New to Whitaker Bank Ballpark, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit will be the Official Barbecue of the Legends. Fans can enjoy a variety of items including Dickey’s signature pulled pork sandwiches and brisket. They will also feature Triple Play Sliders: one brisket, one pulled pork and one chicken slider. Fans can purchase their favorite item at the Dickey’s Barbecue Pit stand on the first base side of the concourse.
Donatos Pizza: Donatos Pizza will be the new Official Pizza of the Legends this year. Seven-inch personal pizzas will be available at the Donatos stand on the third base side of the concourse. Fans can order large, 14-inch pizzas on the suite level.
Boulevard Brewing Co.: The Official Craft Beer of the Kansas City Royals will be at Whitaker Bank Ballpark this summer. Their signature beers such as Unfiltered Wheat, Jam Band Berry Ale and Tropical Pale Ale will be on tap at the Donatos Pizza stand on the third base side and at the suite level.
Eisenberg Franks: Eisenberg Franks from Home Market Foods will be the new Official Hot Dog of the Legends. They are 100% all beef and will be available throughout the stadium, wherever hot dogs are sold. Eisenberg Franks will also be available for just a quarter on Tuesday’s .25 Cents Hot Dog Night.
Home Market Foods Meatballs: The Legends will also be serving Home Market Foods’ variety of meatballs in the Kentucky Ale Taproom and suites. Flavors and styles range from traditional home style, Korean BBQ, Italian style, Angus beef, sundried tomato and roasted garlic chicken meatballs. Can’t choose a flavor? Fans will be able to order the variety appetizer to sample them all.
Larry Mac’s Beer Cheese: The Larry Mac’s Beer Cheeseburger will be available at both the first and third base concession stands. This juicy bacon cheeseburger will feature pepper jack cheese and Larry Mac’s signature Jalapeno Beer Cheese. Fans can also get the best beer cheese around on the suite level and in the Kentucky Ale Taproom.
KoBobinit: Kentucky State graduates, Stephen Ferrell and Derek Woodmore are bringing their signature kabobs to Whitaker Bank Ballpark. A variety of options include steak, shrimp, chicken and veggie kabobs, not to mention their legendary three-foot kabob. They will be available on the third base side near the Donatos Pizza stand and Kona Ice.
Shuffle Bean Coffee: For the first time ever, Shuffle Bean Coffee will be offered in the concession stands and Kentucky Ale Taproom during games. Freshly roasted and packed, Shuffle Bean Coffee beans are harvested in the rich, volcanic soil of the Tarrazu Region of Costa Rica and are 100% Rainforest Alliance Certified. Whitaker Bank Ballpark patrons can also enjoy Shuffle Bean Coffee during special events as well.
Colonel Cobb: Fans can enjoy two new roast corn flavors at the Colonel Cobb this season. Parmesan Garlic and Mexican Street Style will be available all-season long.
Crawford Middle School Stache Tank Winner: One specialty food item from the Legends’ Stache Tank program will also be available at Whitaker Bank Ballpark this season. A winner has yet to be announced, but the three final items included: a Panwich (a breakfast sandwich made out of pancakes), a sandwich wrap featuring chicken tenders battered in Uncle Rays Potato Chips (Uncle Rays is the official potato chip of Minor League Baseball), and a Texas-toast sandwich with macaroni and cheese with barbeque chicken.
