The New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Class AA: Eastern League) are preparing for a milestone, as the team is about to debut the latest improvements to Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.
Over the offseason, the Fisher Cats announced plans for some major overhauls to Northeast Delta Dental Stadium, with the improvements focusing on several areas of the ballpark. A new rock waterfall was installed atop of the ballpark’s main stairway, along with the Samuel Adams Bar & Grill and overhauled seating in left field, projects that were included with a tiki bar, stage, and game area.
With those projects complete, the Fisher Cats can now turn their attention to the regular season, which is scheduled to begin on Thursday, when they host the Binghamton Rumble Ponies. Fisher Cats president Mike Ramshaw expects that the additions to Northeast Delta Dental Stadium will resonate with fans. More from the New Hampshire Union Leader:
“Before they even get to see the playing field, our fans are going to see the waterfall, the pavilion and patio at the top of the main stairway,” said Ramshaw. “I can tell you when our staff saw everything for the first time, they were impressed and it really created a buzz. I think our fans will react the same way.”
Fans will see a new seating section of 165 swivel chairs with drink rails in left field just below the Samuel Adams Bar & Grill.
“It’s great for group sales and the location has a wonderful view to watch the game,” said Ramshaw, who also announced that for the 11th consecutive year, ticket prices will remain the same.
The Fisher Cats will also be able to showcase the renovations as part of this summer’s Eastern League All-Star Classic, which is scheduled for July 12.
Update: Since this story was originally published, the Fisher Cats have announced that their home opener has been postponed due to inclement weather. The team will now its season on Friday, April 7.
