Seattle Seahawks punter Jon Ryan and Los Angeles-based marketing entrepreneur Alan Miller have joined the ownership group of the Portland Pickles (summer collegiate; Great West League). The additions of Ryan and Miller were announced on Wednesday.
The managing partner for the Pickles, Bill Stewart, said about the new additions “Both Jon and Alan bring unique skillsets and experience to the Portland Pickles. I’m excited for us to work together to provide great baseball and entertainment for the Portland community.”
Jon Ryan is a 10-year veteran of the NFL and is currently in his eighth season as the punter for the Seattle Seahawks. Originally from Regina, Saskatchewan, Ryan recently signed a contract extension that will keep him in a Seahawks jersey through 2020.
