Cheesy Pig Dog Highlights New Dash Menu

Dash Cheesy Pig Dog

We have more food news in the minors, as the Winston-Salem Dash (High A; Carolina League) are introducing new stands and signature items at BB&T Ballpark

Pictured above is the Cheesy Pig Dog, a hot dog loaded with toppings that reflect some regional favorites. The standard Cheesy Pig Dog will come with BBQ and macaroni and cheese, but fans will have the option to kick it up a notch by adding Texas Pete Hot Sauce for a Flaming Cheesy Pig Dog. The Cheesy Pig Dog will be available at the Big Dog stand on the first base side.

Another major addition to the food offerings at BB&T Ballpark this season is South of Downtown, a Tex-Mex cuisine concession stand on the third base side. The main items to look for at South of Downtown are the Jumbo Burrito and Ultimate Nachos. Fans will have the option to load both items with either beef or chicken.

In addition, the Dash have unveiled a new weekly promotion—Food Truck Saturday. A selection of Food Trucks will be around the concourse. At this Saturday’s game, Spice DelightFlite Time Wings and Happy Plates will be on hand. Spice Delight will also be open for the games this Thursday and Friday.

These exciting additions enhance an already-outstanding menu at every Dash game. Domino’s, Krispy Kreme, Lowes Foods SausageWorks and Mayberry return for another season, while Chick-fil-A will sell several of its popular items during most home games in 2016.

The concession stand behind home plate will continue to serve ballpark favorites like hot dogs, hamburgers, nachos, peanuts and much more. Soft serve ice cream, lemonade and other specialty items are available on the third-base side.

As for beverages at BB&T Ballpark, the Dash will once again serve Pepsi products throughout the 2016 season. Seven Foothills beers will be on draft—Carolina Blonde, Carolina Strawberry Blonde, HopJob Session IPA, Hoppyum IPA, People’s Porter, Pilot Mountain Pale Ale and Torch Pilsner. The following beers are also available at BB&T Ballpark: Miller Lite, Coors Light, Coors Banquet, Blue Moon, Yuengling, Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy and Angry Orchard.

Founders Club members will continue to enjoy a delicious dinner buffet at every game that comes with their ticket purchase. Several local restaurants, like Bonefish Grill, Outback Steakhouse, Dewey’s Bakery and much more, will provide food in the Founders Club on select nights. The Carolina Plan also features a rotating entrée to go with classic ballpark fare like hot dogs and hamburgers.
