New Rox open season in St. Cloud

St. Cloud Roxit was a sellout crowd last night at Joe Faber Field, as the revamped St. Cloud Rox (summer collegiate; Northwoods League) opened a new chapter in team history with a loss to the Mankato MoonDogs.

The old St. Cloud River Bats were sold by owner Joel Sutherland this off season to local businessmen Gary Posch and Joe Sexton, who brought in a new front office, revamped the team colors, and brought back the old Rox name from the days when St. Cloud hosted a team in the original Northern League. All of that came together last night at Faber Field.

The moves paid off, at least on opening night, with a full house at Faber Field
