Loons pull out the stops for Mother’s Day

Great Lakes LoonsIt’s not unusual for a baseball team to throw a Mother’s Day promotion with a free flower or two but the Great Lakes Loons (Low Class A; Midwest League) are pulling out the stops with massage therapy, brunch and more.

“Since Mother’s Day falls on a Loons home game this year, we wanted to do something special at Dow Diamond for our fans and their mothers,” said Group Sales Manager Jessica Olpere. “The new Mother’s Day promotion provides a unique way to spend quality time with family while delivering a great experience for mothers.”

The promotion will be hosted in Lasorda’s Landing during the 2:00 p.m. home game against the Bowling Green Hot Rods on Sunday, May 8. Attendees will enjoy a two-hour brunch, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00, featuring a spread of specialty food options like spinach quiche, ham & broccoli quiche, tossed salad, mini-ham & Swiss croissants and more.

During the game, mothers will be treated to a 15-minute massage from a professional massage therapist and will receive special time at the hair and makeup beautification station. Each mother will receive a carnation flower and will be invited to run the bases of Dow Diamond with their child after the game. A craft station will be available to kids in attendance.

Fans can give their mothers the Loons unique experience for just $32 per person. Space is limited. For additional information or to reserve a spot, contact Jessica Olpere at 989.837.6136 or jolpere@loons.com.
