Bombers unveil new logos for 2011

Battle Creek Bombers

The Battle Creek Bombers (summer collegiate; Northwoods League) unveiled new logos for the 2011 season, the team’s fifth at C.O. Brown Stadium.

The new look comes from Worthen Design, a Utah-based brand-development firm.

“When designing the future brand for the Battle Creek Bombers, we wanted to make sure we took into consideration the interaction of those who would be wearing, viewing and interacting with the logo,” said John Worthern of Worthen Design in a statement. “Children personalities to adult personalities were kept in mind as we went through the process, and in the end we created a brand that both generations could appreciate.”

Battle Creek Bombers“These new logos really represent a new excitement and brand name we are creating this year with the Bombers,” General Manager Brian Colopy said in a statement. “Battle Creek has been such a great baseball town and we wanted to pay tribute to that history along with creating something exciting and new. We are grateful to Worthern Design for providing us with creative ideas and expertise during this entire process.”

The new look completes the makeover of the franchise, which went 20-50 last season and ranked third to last in Northwoods League attendance, ahead of Brainerd Lakes and Thunder Bay. Brian Colopy is the new GM, replacing Rick Lindau, while Tim Lillis is the new ticket/merchandise manager.
