San Antonio to host 75th Texas League All-Star Game

San Antonio MissionsNice milestone to be reached by a historic franchise: The 75th Texas League All-Star Game will be hosted by league charter member San Antonio Missions at Wolff Stadium on June 29, 2011.

The announcement was made by Missions President Burl Yarbrough. The game will mark the 10th time for San Antonio to host the event. San Antonio, a charter member of the Texas League in 1888, also hosted the 25th and 50th All-Star games.

“It will be the signature event of the 2011 season at the Wolff,” Yarbrough said. “Baseball fans in the area will have a chance to see the future stars of baseball all together in one grand event.”

The All-Star Game festivities will include a pre-game Home Run Derby and a post-game fireworks show. The game is scheduled for a 7:05 p.m. start.
