Despite not receiving approval for a funding plan from the state legislature, Sarpy County officials will decide on Friday the fate of a new Omaha Royals (Class AAA; Pacific Coast League) ballpark.
The board will have a meeting today at 3 p.m. to discuss ballpark sites again; the board is reviewing three sites within Sarpy County. Then, on Friday, the board will make a recommendation as to the final site.
After that comes the fun part: coming up with the money.
