New for 2009: Spring Mobile Ballpark

The home of the Salt Lake Bees is now Spring Mobile Ballpark after Franklin Covey naming-rights deal expires.The home of the Salt Lake Bees (Class AAA; Pacific Coast League) is now Spring Mobile Ballpark, after the original Franklin Covey 10-year naming-rights deal expired.

“We are pleased to further our joint efforts with Spring Mobile who has emerged as the region’s leading wireless retailer. The company has achieved tremendous success since opening in 2001 and is a great complement to what our organization represents,” said Greg Miller, CEO of the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies. “Spring Mobile is an ideal partner as we continue to offer Salt Lake City the state’s highest level of professional baseball at one of the country’s finest ballparks.”

Spring Mobile Ballpark is a regional cell-phone service retailer.

The agreement is for five years, with two additional five-year options. Other terms of the naming-rights deal were not released. The Bees lease the ballpark from Salt Lake City and retain naming rights as part of the deal.
