Currently the parcel is slated to host a new PGA golf course, but public officials doubt whether that project will ever come to fruition. It’s interesting to see how the parameters of this discussion has changed over the last year: once Democratic electees took over the Lackawanna County Commission it was widely assumed a new ballpark project was dead, but now we have basically three proposals being bandied about: a new ballpark at the current PNC Field site, a a downtown Scranton facility and now Dickson City.
