Border Cats sold to group headed by Smith, Wendel

Thunder Bay Border CatsThe Thunder Bay Border Cats (summer collegiate; Northwoods League) have been sold to Superior Baseball Club, a Florida corporation headed by Kyle Smith that also includes former Border Cats owner John Wendel in the group of five investors.

“It has been an absolute joy to work with Brad for so long, experiencing some great moments along the way, highlighted by the Border Cats hosting of the League’s All-Star game. Fergie Jenkins as our guest speaker, and then the cherry on top with the Stanley Cup appearing before a sold-out stadium!” said Northwoods League Chairman Dick Radatz, Jr.
