Branding for the Fredericksburg Nationals (High A; Carolina League) continues to take shape, as the club unveils three jerseys and an alternate logo depicting Mary Washington.
Last month, the former Potomac Nationals rebranded to become the Fredericksburg Nationals, reflecting their move to a new ballpark in the Virginia city. That announcement featured a series of logos, including the primary emblem and a depiction of George Washington swinging a cherry tree axe/bat.
Adding on to the branding is the new alternate logo featuring Mary Washington (shown above), and a series of uniforms that were unveiled Saturday at an event celebrating Mary Washington’s 311th birthday at her former home in downtown Fredericksburg. The Mary Washington logo shows her delivering a pitch, complimenting the previously released George Washington emblem.
As part of Saturday’s event, three uniforms were released, including the primary home jersey along with alternate red and blue uniform tops. The official home jersey is white and reads “FredNats” across the chest in red script with the signature circle F logo inlaid on the left sleeve.
The first alternate jersey is red with “FredNats” inlaid white script font across the chest, with a Fredericksburg city scape logo inlaid on the left sleeve. The navy blue alternate pullover features the George Washington logo on the left chest.
