We have personnel news to report from the Fayetteville SwampDogs (summer collegiate; Coastal Plain League) and the Frisco RoughRiders (Class AA; Texas League).
In Fayetteville, the SwampDogs have named Brittany Tschida their Assistant General Manager.
A graduate of Chowan University in Murfreesboro, NC, Tschida is no stranger to the Fayetteville SwampDogs. She has spent the past three seasons with the team as a seasonal intern.
“Brittany’s experience and enthusiasm will be an incredible addition,” said SwampDogs General Manager Jeremy Aagard. “She fits perfectly into our family atmosphere and we expect great things from her in the community. As we celebrate our 18th season, we look forward to Brittany being an integral part of taking the SwampDogs to a whole new level of entertainment and welcoming more fans than ever before!”
A Fayetteville, NC native, Tschida graduated from Village Christian Academy prior to attending Chowan University. She graduated with her BS in Sports Management with a concentration in Business Administration in just over three years while playing volleyball for the Hawks.
In her previous time with the SwampDogs, Tschida duties will include corporate partnerships, group ticket sales and ballpark operations. Her attention to detail and ensuring that every fan has an incredible experience make her the perfect fit for the SwampDogs.
“I’m looking forward to being back in Fayetteville,” said Tschida. “I’m excited to really connect with the community and fans to bring them the best experience in baseball.”
“Her work ethic and passion for our fans is second to none,” continued Aagard. “She is committed to making everyone around her better and, in turn, our fans will have their best experience yet! This is an exciting time for the SwampDogs as we look to bring the Petitt Cup here along with the Coastal Plain League Organization of the Year honor.”

In Frisco, the RoughRiders have announced the promotion of Ross Lanford to Vice President, Ticket Sales & Services, and David Dwyer to Senior Director, Ticket Sales & Services, along with six other promotions in the Ticket Sales Department.
Lanford, who previously served as Senior Director of Ticket Sales, is entering his seventh season with the franchise. He began his tenure with the club in an entry-level ticket sales position in the fall of 2011. Dwyer, now entering his sixth season with the Riders, most recently was the team’s Director of Group Sales. He also started his career in an entry-level sales role with the club following the 2012 season.
The club also promoted Kasey Carlock (Senior Premium Corporate Sales Manager), Josh Bray (Premium Corporate Sales Manager), Tyler Ellis (Premium Corporate Sales Manager), Monica Man (Premium Group Sales Manager), Tom Baker (Senior Corporate Sales Executive) and Johnny Coenen (Senior Group Sales Executive) to elevated roles within the organization.
“What’s so exciting and rewarding about the announcement of these eight promotions is that each of them has grown and developed their talent with the RoughRiders, and have demonstrated their commitment to the passion for our values and community over a number of years,” said RoughRiders’ Executive VP & General Manager Jason Dambach. “The continuity they have provided our front office allows us to offer an even higher level of service to our customers.”
