New for 2017: Haley Toyota Field at Salem Memorial Ballpark

Haley Toyota FieldThe home of the Salem Red Sox has new branding after a 2017 naming-rights deal: Haley Toyota Field at Salem Memorial Ballpark.

The new deal comes at the beginning of what should be a big year for the Salem Red Sox, as the team celebrates its 50th year of baseball in the Carolina League and prepares to host the 2017 Carolina League All-Star Classic festivities at Haley Toyota Field in June.

“Haley Toyota is a longtime partner of the Salem Red Sox who has expanded their presence at the ballpark in recent years,” Red Sox President and General Manager Ryan Shelton said. “With their strong market position and consistent support of the team they were a natural fit for this key affiliation when this opportunity opened up.”

“Haley Toyota and the Haley Automotive Group are proud to be associated with the Salem Red Sox and the city of Salem,” Haley Toyota of Roanoke General Manager Chuck Baker said. “Many of our employees and customers are lifelong baseball fans. Salem has a rich history of being a great sports town, and we are privileged to have our name attached to one of the nicest single-A ballparks in the region.

“We look forward to many Red Sox victories while visiting with friends, family and customers at Haley Toyota Field at Salem Memorial Ballpark.”

Haley Toyota Field will feature a brand-new 36-foot-wide videoboard as well as improved facilities and in-game entertainment during the 2017 season.

Salem Memorial Ballpark opened on August 7, 1995, with a 15-inning 3-2 win for the Salem Avalanche over the Frederick Keys. In 2006, Lewis-Gale Medical Center became the naming rights partner for the field in a partnership that lasted for the past 11 years through last season.

“LewisGale Medical Center values its longstanding partnership with the Salem Red Sox,” said Brian Baumgardner, CEO and President of LewisGale Regional Health System. “While we pass the field’s naming rights sponsorship to Haley Toyota, we look forward to continuing our relationship with and support of the Salem Red Sox.”
