A million more thanks to Ballpark Digest readers

Ballpark DigestQuick update on the next few weeks on Ballpark Digest, including a little information on our spring-training trips and once again hitting a monthly million-page mark.

Posting on the site will be a little lessened this week, as we’re heading out to spring training later today. Yes, we’re abandoning the cold of the Upper Midwest for the warmth of Arizona and Florida. There is a lot of news out of spring training for the ballparks world: We’ll be touring the new Cubs spring facility and the many improvements to Hammond Stadium. Our schedule:

Feb. 26: Scottsdale Stadium, San Francisco Giants
Feb. 27: Cubs Park, Chicago Cubs
Feb. 28: Tempe Diablo Stadium, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim
March 1: Peoria Stadium, Seattle Mariners (day); Salt River Fields, Arizona Diamondbacks (night)
March 3: Ed Smith Stadium, Baltimore Orioles
March 4: JetBlue Stadium, Boston Red Sox (day); Bright House Field, Philadelphia Phillies (night)
March 5: Florida Auto Exchange Stadium, Toronto Blue Jays (day); Hammond Stadium, Minnesota Twins (night)
March 6: McKechnie Field, Pittsburgh Pirates

As we noted: we once again hit a million page views this month on Ballpark Digest, the second month in a row and the fourth time in six months. Now, hitting a million page views isn’t that unusual (our spring-training site did double the traffic in February and will surpass two million page views) in the wider Web world, but it is for a website so narrowly focused on ballparks. And we also have some other metrics that are more indicative of the site’s health. But this is a metric that’s widely understood. Thanks again to all the readers and supporters of Ballpark Digest: We truly appreciate everything you do for us.
