The Bowling Green Hot Rods (Low Class A; Midwest League) have been on the block for several months and are set to be sold to an existing MiLB ownership group.
The buyers, as verified by several sources, is the Katzoff family group currently owning and operating the Reno Aces (Class AAA: Pacific Coast League). There are no plans to move the team, which is committed to the market via a long-term lease.
The team is owned by Art Solomon, who also owns the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Class AA; Eastern League).
The news of the sale was reported in the Bowling Green Daily News, although the buyer was not identified.
