Nice offseason promo by the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees (Class AAA; International League): fans are being asked out to the PNC Field construction site to sign a beam to be placed in the ballpark.
Fans will see the signatures once it’s put in place in the outfield picnic area.
“This will be the first real public event at the ballpark, and I just think it is as cool as heck,” said Rob Crain, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre president and general manager. “I’ve never done one of these before, and I’m really looking forward to it. It’s going to be a blast.”
The beam-signing will take place from 3 p.m. [next Tuesday] until dusk near the Lackawanna County Trolley Barn. Fans can access the area through the stadium’s media entrance on Montage Mountain Road.
