Thunder revamps suite offerings, add ala carte service

The Trenton Thunder now offer individual-sized appetizers and entrees to ticketholders in suites, giving them flexibility over their food offerings at a game.

The Trenton Thunder (Class AA; Eastern League) have added a restaurant-style menu for suite ticketholders, allowing patrons the flexibility to place individual orders.

The new option, referred to as the Pub Menu,  debuted on Opening Night and coincided with the opening of a new upscale bar on the suite level.

The Pub Menu features a variety of appetizer and entrée items available in individual serving portions. A more traditional luxury suite catering menu, with items portioned for 12-16 guests, is still available.

What was formerly a small concession kiosk in the third floor elevator lobby has been transformed into what is now known as the Lobby Bar.  This new location features a full selection of top shelf liquors in addition to 18 beers, including Guinness and Blue Moon.  Fans may also purchase items from the Pub Menu, sit at bar stools and watch the parent New York Yankees' game on TV.  The Lobby Bar also offers drink specials.

"The new pub menu provides fans with upscale food choices in their suites without having to cater the entire party," said Thunder GM Will Smith.  "The Lobby Bar has turned what was an area that people passed through into an area that is more of a destination."

The Thunder have also redesigned the way companies can use a luxury suite for networking, meeting and entertaining clients.  During the winter, the team introduced the "Thunder Club" VIP suite which  allows companies to purchase full or partial season tickets in a suite.  The new club offers companies the chance to utilize the benefits of a suite on a smaller scale of two or four tickets per game rather than renting all 25 seats.  The Thunder Club VIP Suite can be booked by calling 609-394-3300 ext 101.

Fans attending games in a Luxury Suite will once again be able to take the popular Thunder Burger Challenge, in which they have30 minutes to eat chef John Caiola's monster creation featuring Case's pork roll stuffed grilled cheese sandwiches serving as the buns for 16 ounces of beef with all the fixings and a pound of hot fries on the side.  The $15 burger is free if eaten in the allotted 30 minutes.
