The Wednesday opening of the Hank Aaron Childhood Home & Museum is creating a sellout at that night BayBears game.
Big times in Mobile tomorrow night, as the Grand Opening of the Hank Aaron Childhood Home & Museum is creating a sellout crowd for the Mobile BayBars (Class AA; Southern League) game.
Hank Aaron, Rickey Henderson, Bob Feller, Mobile’s own Ozzie Smith, Bruce Sutter and Willie Mays are heading to Mobile to christen the Hank Aaron Childhood Home & Museum and toss first pitches on the field at Hank Aaron Stadium, prior to the BayBears opening their home slate on Wednesday night against the Birmingham Barons. The contest is scheduled to begin at 7:05.
During the offseason the BayBears arranged for Aaron's home to be moved to the ballpark area and renovated.
