Harmon Killebrew, who broke into the majors as a member of the Washington Senators, will formally join the effort to bring indy ball to Loudoun County, Va., this week.
The group, VIP Baseball, is already running a name-the-team contest and plans to have a new ballpark opening in 2011. Killebrew and former major leaguer Tim Cullen will be making their debuts at a local business meeting on Thursday.
