The designed received preliminary approval this week; final approval will be debated at a March 9 meeting. As part of the financial plan, the Rainiers committed to a 30-year lease for the new ballpark.
The design from Populous will be carried out by construction firm Mortensen. If approved, groundbreaking will begin after the 2010 season in time for the 2011 season.
