After three weeks, the Fair Grounds Field College Baseball Series game between Northwestern State and LSU on March 10 has sold out, according to the Shreveport-Bossier Captains (independent; American Association). More than 400 standing room tickets were the last to go this week.

“We knew this was going to be a great event,” Captains VP/General Manager Craig Brasfield said. “But we are so excited to see how overwhelming the response has been for these two great teams.”

As of March 3, NSU is 5-2, while LSU is 7-0 and ranked No. 1 in one national poll and No. 2 in the other.

“NSU Athletic director Greg Burke and his staff have done a great job to make this game possible, and we are all looking forward to a great game and a full house next week,” Brasfield said. “Also, we want to thank Shelly Ragle and her staff with the city of Shreveport for their phenomenal job helping us get the stadium in tip-top shape for the game.”
