Bellevue developers and city officials see a new Omaha Royals (Class AAA; Pacific Coast League) ballpark as a way to make their city a baseball Mecca.
The proposed site is part of the Kennedy Town Center, a 60-acre mixed-use development off I-75. With other baseball facilities already planned for the city — including youth fields and a ballpark for Bellevue University — city officials see the addition of an O-Royals ballpark as icing on the cake.
