Grasshoppers set attendance mark

Some more good news from the box office: The Greensboro Grasshoppers broke their franchise record for April per-game average attendance last night as they drew 6,040 fans against the Delmarva Shorebirds.The Greensboro Grasshoppers (Low Class A; Sally League) broke their franchise record for April per-game average attendance last night as they drew 6,040 fans against the Delmarva Shorebirds. This gives the ‘Hoppers 65,935 fans in 10 April openings, for an average of 6,594 per game. The previous April record was set in 2007, when the team averaged 6,384 fans per contest.

"It’s a long season, but it is extremely encouraging for us to have drawn so well this month," said Grasshoppers President and General Manager Donald Moore. "With all the uncertainty in the economy, we are thrilled with our start to the year. I hope things continue in this same direction throughout the season."
