After a delay because of a helicopter mishap, the light poles at the new Reno Aces (Class AAA; Pacific Coast League) ballpark were installed on Sunday morning.
It took a little more than an hour to put up the five light poles; the helicopter lowered the pole from the air, and a crew fastened them to a stand. No wonder a helicopter was needed: each pole weighs approximately 18,000 pounds.
