The branding for the Chicago Dogs (independent; American Association) continues to take shape, as the club has unveiled uniform designs ahead of its inaugural season.
As the Dogs gear up for their American Association debut, the club’s upcoming arrival has been notable for a number of reasons. Along with the expectations surrounding Impact Field–their new ballpark in suburban Rosemont, IL–the Dogs’ have turned plenty of heads with their branding. The Chicago Dogs name and logo was unveiled last year, and now the team is providing more details on its branding through the release of its uniform designs.
The look of the uniforms is inspired by the Chicago flag, featuring the colors and stars from the flag’s design. In another interesting touch, the design of the jersey numbers is influenced by the Chicago-style hot dog that inspires the team’s name.
Once the American Association season gets underway later this month, fans around the circuit will have the opportunity to see the Dogs in action. The club’s first game will be played at Sioux Falls on May 18, marking the beginning of a six-game road trip that concludes with a stop in St. Paul. The Dogs will play their home opener at Impact Field on May 25, squaring off against the Kansas City T-Bones.
For fans wanting to get a look at Impact Field before the home opener, there will be an option this weekend. On Saturday, May 5, the Dogs will host a public open house at Impact Field that runs from 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
