With short-season A and rookie ball launching in the next few weeks, you can expect plenty of ballpark news from these leagues. Today: the Hudson Valley Renegades (Short Season A; NY-Penn League) announced upgrades to Dutchess Stadium for 2017.
Leading the improvements is a brand-new high-definition videoboard and sound system. New backstop netting now extends to the ends of both dugouts, while upgraded restrooms, upgraded sky suites with new control panels and sound speakers for the audio play-by-play as well as the in-game public address system.
Also new to Dutchess Stadium: drink rails in the Cantina and a slew of new food options. New to 2017 is “The Visitors Dugout,” located next to the main concession stand and featuring foods from the opposing teams, such as Maryland crabcake sliders when the Aberdeen Ironbirds come to town.
“We are excited going into our 24th season at Dutchess Stadium that we can bring our fans an all new experience while watching the Renegades play this summer and for many years to come,” said Steve Gliner, President of the Hudson Valley Renegades. “This has been a joint effort between the Hudson Valley Renegades, Dutchess County, Dutchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro and the support of the people of the Hudson Valley to make these exciting changes happen.”
