Fans at FirstEnergy Stadium will now be able to order a beer through their smartphone, as the Reading Fightin Phils (Class AA; Eastern League) have introduced Craft Beer Me! By making Craft Beer Me! the latest addition to the team’s fan experience app, the Fightin Phils are the first team in the country to introduce this service.
Craft Beer Me! is the newest feature coming to the Fightins fan experience app, In The Park powered by Weidenhammer. Fightins fans can now get cold refreshing beer delivered straight to their seats, by Fightins beer delivery experts.
“The goal is to reinvent how fans spend their time at the ballgame. Fans deserve more time with their families and friends watching Fightins baseball,” says Jason Klein of Boomaphone, the company that developed “Craft Beer Me!”
Fans will be able to order any of the 50 craft beers from the Craft Beer Corner bar and within moments, have the beverage at their seat.
For the 2016 season, the Fightins are excited to rollout the “Craft Beer Me!” feature on the MiLB In the Park app powered by Weidenhammer. It will be available to fans on iPhone and Android.
“There’s something magical about buying beer with your thumb print,” said Fightins General Manager Scott Hunsicker. “We’re excited to add yet another fun feature to the Fightins fan experience.”
In celebration of the team’s history-making affiliation with the Philadelphia Phillies, the Fightins have rolled out over a whopping 87 different beer selections throughout FirstEnergy Stadium this season. Beers include popular selections like Miller Lite, Coors Light, and Yuengling in addition to a wide-ranging offering of local craft brews.
