C-Tigers set attendance records

Connecticut TigersMore changes in the record books: the Connecticut Tigers (short season A; New York-Penn League) set season and individual game attendance records in 2013.

The Tigers saw an 18 percent increase in total attendance and 15 percent increase in average attendance during the regular season. On Aug. 30, 6,008 fans packed Dodd Stadium to see the final home game of the season, setting a franchise record for attendance at a single game. That night also saw the final season attendance numbers for the 2013 season become the new franchise record of 68,757.

“We would like to thank all of the fans for coming out this season to support the Tigers,” said Tigers Vice President/General Manager C.J. Knudsen. “2013 was certainly a season to remember at Dodd Stadium. We have truly appreciated the support we have received from the community since the day we arrived. We strive to return that support and be a valued member of the community for many years to come.”
