Storm enter extreme-eats arena with Home Wrecker, Filthy McNasty

Lake Elsinore StormThe Lake Elsinore Storm (High Class A; California League) are entering the extreme-food world with a series of new creations to the Diamond Club menu, including the two-pound Home Wrecker hamburger and the five-pound-plus Filthy McNasty chili dog Nice.

The specifics: the Filthy McNasty — which could feed four comfortably — is a two-pound burger stuffed with two hot dogs, bacon and cheese, then then smothered in chili and topped with crispy onion straws. The Home Wrecker includes three half-pound chili dogs topped with one-and-a- half pounds of French Fries, two pounds of chili and three-quarters-of-a-pound of cheese and diced onions. If one person can finish this monster dog in less than 20 minutes, it’s free.

For most teams, that would be enough, but there’s more on the Diamond Club menu: the Belly Twister (a one-and-a-half pound baked pretzel with dipping sauces), Pretzel Sliders (cheeseburger sliders with soft pretzel buns), the Juicy Bleusy (bleu-cheese-stuffed cheeseburger), Cajun Lucy (a jalapeno-stuffed cheeseburger, the Pipeline ( a burrito filled with shrimp, fries, guacamole, pico de gallo and cheese) and a make-your-own burrito, the Cardiac Roll.

“We had a great reaction to these new items during the Sip N’ Swing last Saturday,” said Storm Catering General Manager Arjun Suresh. “My staff and I are excited to see how they catch on during the season.”
