Sunday will be powder-blue day for the Tampa Bay Rays.
The Tampa Bay Rays will wear a new light blue alternate jersey for Sunday home games during the 2010 season. Officially released today, it will debut on Sunday, April 11 when the Rays host the New York Yankees at Tropicana Field.
The Rays become one of 16 teams with four jerseys. In addition to the traditional home whites and road grays, the Rays will continue to wear a navy blue alternate on selected home and road day games.
Manufactured by Majestic Athletic, the new alternate jersey is a Columbia blue button-down with navy blue RAYS outlined in white trim across the chest and featuring the Rays sunburst. The sunburst is slightly larger than the sunburst on the home and road jerseys. Navy trim surrounds the sleeves and collar and extends down the front of the jersey. The player's name is featured on the back in white outlined in navy. The player's number is navy outlined in white.
