Landers reelected as Appy League president

Lee Landers, who guided the rookie Appalachian League during some turbulent times, was reelected for another two-year term.Lee Landers has been re-elected to a two-year term as president of the Appalachian League. Landers has led the Rookie League circuit since 1996.

Charlie Blaney was officially elected to a three-year term as California League President. Blaney replaces Joe Gagliardi, who retired after 28 years as head of the league.

Two other league presidents recently received extensions. South Atlantic League President Eric Krupa received a two-year extension, while Florida State League President Chuck Murphy had another year added to his term. Both of their respective terms now expire in 2012.
