Ballpark Notes for Nov. 13, 2009

Comings and goings in Winston-Salem and Harrisburg.

Some personnel notes from this week.

First, Ed Collari has left the Winston-Salem Dash (High Class A; Carolina League) for another position in the Winston-Salem area. Ed was head of broadcasting and media relations for the Dash during a very trying 2009 season. No word on a replacement.

Second, the Harrisburg Senators (Class AA; Eastern League) announced the addition of two full-time front office staff members. Todd Matthews and Scott Moudry have started working for the Senators in their respective positions. Matthews is a Senior Corporate Sales Executive while Moudry is a Senior Ticket Sales Executive. With addition of Matthews and Moudry, there are now 16 full-time front office members.

Matthews comes to the Senators with 27 years of experience in broadcast radio sales in the Harrisburg market with the last 19 with Cumulus. He is a lifelong baseball fan and is working in baseball for the first time. He lives in Susquehanna Township with his wife and two sons. Matthews joins several other front office staffers as a Penn State graduate.

Moudry is in his sixth season in baseball having previously worked for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (Low Class A; Midwest League) and Charlotte Stone Crabs (High Class A; Florida State League). He was the Ticket Manager and a Corporate Sales Executive with Wisconsin and was the Director of Ticket Sales with Charlotte. He graduated from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa with a degree in Sports Management.
